Hello Friend! Your looking at the mobile verion of our site, some things have been trimed down to keep it responsive.
Portfolio
For just under two years, I have been teaching myself how to code and learning the building blocks of web design. Throughout this time, I have worked on a variety of projects that have helped me improve my skills and knowledge. Some of these projects have been paid assignments, while others were personal side projects that I created as I learned. Everything that I showcase here is my own work, and while some of the projects may be based on common lessons found on websites like YouTube, they still are my own ideas that I created after working on those projects. That being said any full website featured in my portfolio is 100% my work unless stated otherwise.
Skills
HTML
I consider myself proficient in HTML, which was my first step into web design like many others. I have been using HTML since I was a teenager, and at this point, I am extremely comfortable with it. I have a good understanding of HTML syntax, and I am able to create web pages from scratch with ease. My experience with HTML has provided me with a strong foundation in web development, and I continue to build upon this knowledge with new technologies and trends.
CSS
I am equally confident with CSS as I am with HTML, and it's honestly my favorite part of web design; it's what got me hooked in the first place. I love experimenting with CSS and pushing its boundaries to create visually stunning and unique designs. I am extremely comfortable with CSS, and I have a deep understanding of its properties and selectors. Whenever I come across something new, I can quickly pick it up and incorporate it into my work. My passion for CSS drives me to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in web design.
JavaScript (JS)
Although I am confident in utilizing JS and have a good understanding of its basic concepts, writing it from scratch is still a skill that I am working on. To aid me in this process, I rely on various tools such as A.I., Google, Codepen, and other resources to help me complete JS projects when needed. I continue to learn and hone my skills in this area to become more proficient at writing JS code independently.
Other skills
I am highly comfortable using the terminal (command line) and have experience running my own Proxmox server at home. I have extensive experience working with cloud servers, primarily on Linode, and currently manage a few of them. Additionally, while my skill level is not at a professional level, I am comfortable working with Adobe Creative Cloud and have some experience using several of their programs. I am capable of creating basic designs and editing media. In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy building computers and experimenting with different hardware configurations.
Command Line
My expertise predominantly lies within Debian and Ubuntu, as I mentioned earlier. I operate my own Proxmox server at home, where I host a range of services such as Plex, Lychee (a cloud-based photo album), and system backups on my home network. Additionally, I am proficient in utilizing cloud platforms such as Linode.
Hardware (building and PC maintenance)
I take pride in my ability to assemble computers, having built every computer in my household, as well as numerous others that I sold for profit. During the time when Ethereum mining was prevalent, I even crafted my own mining rig entirely from scratch. Once the mining craze subsided, I repurposed the GPUs from my rig into gaming builds, which I successfully sold online.
Other skills (frameworks, adobe, research)
My proficiency extends beyond HTML, CSS, and JS to encompass various frameworks such as Bootstrap and Tailwind. I possess the capability to create my own assets and leverage an array of tools ranging from Adobe Illustrator to Font Awesome. However, my true strength lies in my aptitude for research and my agility in adapting to novel concepts and tools. Whether I am troubleshooting malfunctioning JS, personalizing a fresh layout, or acquainting myself with a new instrument altogether, the satisfaction derived from delving into my browser and uncovering the solution is unparalleled.

My first big project
For my first paid project as a web designer, I was tasked with restyling a pre-existing layout to match the client's brand identity. It was a great opportunity for me to apply my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills in a real-world project. I worked closely with the client to understand their requirements and preferences, and then used my creativity to transform the website into a professional and polished online presence. Through the process, I honed my attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work on time. The project was a success and we are finally done.
I also had the opportunity to create a website for a local music event called North Tonawanda Porchfest. As a music lover and supporter of local arts, I offered to build their website for free to help promote the event. The website was designed to provide attendees with all the information they needed about the musicians, locations, and schedule. I used my skills in web design and development to create a user-friendly and visually appealing website that captured the spirit of the event. Although the project was initially done pro bono, I was honored to receive payment for my work, and the organizers continue to host the website on my servers for a small yearly fee.
